5.2-beta: machine can not reboot itself with Mylex A352 controller active

Machine is Intel STL2 board with  dual P3(1GHz) and 1Gig ECC RAM
Main storage is Mylex AcceleRaid 352 with 32MB RAM and latest firmware 
(7.02-0-00 (20021213) and 4 18GB SCSI disks
Secondary storage is 45GB IBM HD connected to ATA port on board

         Even sysinstall can not reboot the machine, nor can reboot or 
ctrl-alt-del
