5.2-RC1 install fine but get ACPI-1287 messages and still no floppy

The install process from CDROM (downloaded ISO image) worked just fine,
and installing numerous ports and 3rd-party packages has not exhibited
any problems so far. Gnome2 is up and running, though the bottom of the
output for the Gnome2 weather applet is cut off. I haven't tried
compiling a new kernel yet or updating any system source yet, so this is
coming from a fresh install. The running machine is a home-built tower
"appliance".

The floppy drive, which works just fine under FBSD-4.x, STILL doesn't
work under FBSD-5.x ?!?

Whilst the ACPI "error" messages occur, there doesn't (yet) seem to be
any ill affect on the system.
