Floppy and CDROM drives doesn't work in 5.1 RELEASE

Hi,

The floppy and cdrom drives doesn't work by default in the current FreeBSD 5.1
version (FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE) whereas these drives do work on netbsd and linux.

There seems to be a change in the devfs infrastructure between 4.x and 5.1. The
documentation (FreeBSD Handbook) says the devices for fd and cdrom will be
automatically managed.

Are there any configuration changes which needs to be done ?
