USB umass data corruption

From: Jan-Espen Pettersen <sigsegv_at_leakingmemory.org>

These two commits seems to have introduced a data corruption problem
with my digital camera (USB umass device):

http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/cvs-src/2003-July/007150.html
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/cvs-src/2003-July/007153.html

I was able to read valid jpeg images from the camera before the first
commit. Between those two commits umass was completely broken, TIMEOUTs,
etc. After the second commit the files were just garbage (or garbage
mixed with parts of the real image).
