rcng: additional argument to run_rc_command

is it possible to give  an extra argument to an $extra_commands
command? the usual call to run_rc_command

run_rc_command "$1"

suggests otherwise, as $1 already is the name of the command to
be executed (start, stop, etc).

would this be possible/a good idea to implement?
