Ok, here is the last section of output and the error. After this if I do ethier gzip command I get an error, but if I enter the makeinfo commands first the gzip command then works. Could this be some kind of schedualling problem because I normally use the command $time make -j4 buildworld. But it always stops at this point, so it must be something specific to the cvs/doc files. I have emailed the maintiner listed in the make files and have gotten no response. Anyone else have this experience?
