You can simply reboot with a livecd, and then finish the broken
installworld by either finishing it, or by copying the files from the
livecd to your /bin, /sbin, /usr/bin, /usr/sbin (respectively), and then
reboot to finish the install. I used to get that same error after the
statfs fiasco because my installworld didn't finish, I didn't even have
the gencat program, or the install program. A lot of folks have foiled
around with manually copying the files from /usr/obj/* to their respective
targets. If your not going to use a livecd to fix it, rebuild afterwards,
then you need to at least put your /rescue in your PATH before the broken
/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin path stuff.
