I just replaced an Adaptec 19160 with a dual-channel 39160 in this Asus CUBX based system, and now I am seeing these messages (besides the system responding in a jumpy fashion, which makes sense): Sep 11 20:21:33 lizzy kernel: tx0: seems we can continue normaly Sep 11 20:21:48 lizzy kernel: ahc1: Timedout SCB already complete. Interrupts may not be functioning. Sep 11 20:22:50 lizzy kernel: tx0: device timeout 1 packets Sep 11 20:22:50 lizzy kernel: tx0: seems we can continue normaly Sep 11 20:23:10 lizzy kernel: tx0: device timeout 1 packets Sep 11 20:23:10 lizzy kernel: tx0: seems we can continue normaly Sep 11 20:23:25 lizzy kernel: tx0: device timeout 2 packets Sep 11 20:23:25 lizzy kernel: tx0: seems we can continue normaly Sep 11 20:23:35 lizzy kernel: tx0: device timeout 1 packets Sep 11 20:23:35 lizzy kernel: tx0: seems we can continue normaly Sep 11 20:23:48 lizzy kernel: ahc1: Timedout SCB already complete. Interrupts may not be functioning. Sep 11 20:23:56 lizzy kernel: tx0: device timeout 3 packets etc. The 19160 was using irq 11, the 39160 is now using both 11 and 4. Apparently this is part of the problem. This is with today's kernel: FreeBSD lizzy.catnook.com 5.1-CURRENT FreeBSD 5.1-CURRENT #3: Thu Sep 11 19:30:39 PDT 2003 root_at_lizzy.catnook.com:/disk0/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/LIZZY i386 dmesg output attached. I already disabled COM1 in the BIOS, to no avail. What could be wrong?
