Etherlink III pccard (modem part) not working

I've got a Compaq nx9005 and a 3Com Etherlink III (3C562D/3C563D)
eth/modem combo card. running current (11th Feb)

When I insert the card into the laptop I got the following syslog messages:

maybe it's got to do with the O2Micro OZ6933 cardbus bridge?
(it's not listed as supported on the cbb manpage)

but my cisco aironet is working fine in the same slot.

Did someone happened to get this card work?
