-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 So, back in late January, I reported issues with updating from 5.1 to 5.2 on our quad-Xeon servers, and spinlock issues kept panic'ing the box at random intervals, etc. To make a long story short, I reallocated the traffic going to that box elsewhere, and recompiled the kernel w/ WITNESS, and it has been rock solid since (almost three weeks). However, running under the "WITNESS protection program", has serious performance drawbacks, and I would like to see if I can get back to running a WITNESS-free kernel. I tried that when I updated to 5.2.1, but after around 18 hours, it panic'ed again: - -=- Fatal double fault: eip = 0x8063eb08 esp = 0xfb12a000 ebp = 0xfb12a000 cpuid = 1; apic id = 01 panic: double fault cpuid = 1; Debugger("panic") Stopped at Debugger+0x55: xchgl %ebx,in_Debugger.0 db> tr Debugger(8085812b,1,8087268e,80939ee8,100) at Debugger+0x55 panic(8087268e,1,0,0,0) at panic+0x156 dblfault_handler(808ecfcc,1,60,8d324000,8090e800) at dblfault_handler+0x8c db> panic panic: from debugger cpuid = 1; boot() called on cpu#1 Uptime: 18h38m1s - -=- Any Ideas?
