Hi Bill, there's some regression with if_ndis between a kernel from Jan 26 13:45 CET and a kernel from Jan 28 15:38 CET. The if_ndis module from Jan 26 worked fine, but with the one from today the card doesn't associate with my AP anymore: ndis0: <Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter> mem 0xc0200000-0xc0200fff irq 6 at device 2.0 on pci2 can't re-use a leaf (ESS_ID)! ndis0: NDIS API version: 5.1 ndis0: 802.11 address: 00:04:23:7e:d9:98 ndis0: 11b rates: 11Mbps 2Mbps 1Mbps Everything fine so far, and I can set all params as usually with ifconfig: ndis0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet 10.0.0.5 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 10.0.0.255 ether 00:04:23:7e:d9:98 media: IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet autoselect (DS/11Mbps) status: no carrier ssid "" channel 1 authmode OPEN powersavemode OFF powersavesleep 100 wepmode MIXED weptxkey 1 wepkey 1:104-bit But, as you can see, I get no carrier. I can see the AP with "wicontrol ndis0 -l", though. I didn't change anything in my setup. regards, le -- Lukas Ertl eMail: l.ertl_at_univie.ac.at UNIX Systemadministrator Tel.: (+43 1) 4277-14073 Vienna University Computer Center Fax.: (+43 1) 4277-9140 University of Vienna http://mailbox.univie.ac.at/~le/Received on Wed Jan 28 2004 - 08:37:01 UTC
