On current(yesterday's), when booting with ACPI, I get the following message: fdc0: I/O to control range incorrect But when booting without ACPI, I get: fdc0: <Enhanced floppy controller (i82077, NE72065 or clone)> at port 0x3f7,0x3f0-0x3f5 irq 6 drq 2 on isa0 fdc0: FIFO enabled, 8 bytes threshold fd0: <1440-KB 3.5" drive> on fdc0 drive 0 So I can mount it with no problem. This problem exists definitely from 5.2 release, maybe earlier. Full dmesg with ACPI enabled is at: http://homepage.eircom.net/~sarunas/dmesg/dmesg_with_acpi Verbose dmesg with ACPI enabled: http://homepage.eircom.net/~sarunas/dmesg/dmesg_with_acpi_verbose dmesg with no ACPI: http://homepage.eircom.net/~sarunas/dmesg/dmesg_no_acpi Verbose dmesg with no ACPI: http://homepage.eircom.net/~sarunas/dmesg/dmesg_no_acpi_verbose [snip] Kind Regards, -- Sarunas Vancevicius (vsarunas AT eircom DOT NET)Received on Sat Jul 10 2004 - 13:32:46 UTC
