Hi Nate:

  That is correct; even when no "Generic Flash" (USB Jump Drive ?) is present it still 
produces that output.

Just to recap the details:
FreeBSD 5.2-CURRENT #0: Sun Jun  6 17:03:51 CDT 2004
Computer: Powernotebooks  C 3:16 (Pentium M)
usreland kernel compiled w/  gcc version 3.3.3 [FreeBSD] 20031106 
using -O -pipe as the only optimizations. Option ddb is enabled.

I use this in my /etc/rc.conf:
dumpdev="/dev/ad0s1b"   # Device name to crashdump to (or NO).
dumpdir="/var/crash"    # Directory where crash dumps are to be stored
savecore_flags=""       # Used if dumpdev is enabled above, and present.
