Glad the patch fixed the issue. Unfortunately, hardware problems are a bit hard to characterize, and while common memory problems will frequentl manifest in buildworld/kernel, they can also exist and not do that. It might be interesting to look at netstat -s and see if you have any/many problems with bad checksums at various protocol layers. Just to confirm: you're not running over-clocked, you don't have debug.mpsafenet enabled, etc, right? If you're using customer flags to the compiler, etc, you might want to try eliminating them just to make sure that's not responsible either. Could you boot to single-user mode and do a full fsck of your file systems, and confirm there's no file system corruption? May well not be it, but good to rule out. > Updating collection src-all/cvs > Server warning: Cannot open "/usr/local/etc/cvsup/prefixes/FreeBSD.cvs/src/contrib/binutils/ld/emulparams/elf324<¬bn32.sh,v": No such file or directory > Server warning: Cannot open "/usr/local/etc/cvsup/prefixes/FreeBSD.cvs/src/contrib/sendmail/cted_ib/smcontrol.pl,v": No such file or directory > Server warning: Cannot open "/usr/local/etc/cvsup/prefixes/FreeBSD.cvs/src/cðH⎺/â¤âŠâ‹â””â▒┌/┌â‹â‰/⎼⎺â”âŠâ”¼/â””âŠâ””└⎺┴âŠ.âŒ,â”´": N⎺ ⎽┤âŒâ¤ °â‹â”ŒâŠ ⎺⎼ ââ‹âŽ¼âŠâŒâ”œâŽºâŽ¼â‰¤ > T⎼âŠâŠLâ‹âŽ½â”œ °▒â‹â”ŒâŠâ: NâŠâ”œâ”¬âŽºâŽ¼â” ┬⎼â‹â”œâŠ °▒â‹â”Œâ”¤âŽ¼âŠ: C⎺┼┼âŠâŒâ”œâ‹âŽºâ”¼ âŒâ”ŒâŽºâŽ½âŠâ > Wâ‹â”Œâ”Œ ⎼âŠâ”œâŽ¼â‰¤ ▒├ 20:01:29 > Could you try another cvsup server just to see what happens? I'm not sure I expect any change, but another good thing to rule out.
