(cvsup src/sys/dev/ata with a date of 2004.02.28.17.30.00) These patches: Issue a request sense command automagically when ATAPI commands fail with a valid sense key. Sounds like it's getting something it thinks is and invalid status and just keeps asking for status forever. I'm reading over the patch now, but I have no idea if I can figure out what's wrong.
