Here's the reality of our situation: users that knowledgeably address 
issues will be received more than warmly by the programmers.  Users that 
make short useless posts about what they see as shortcomings, when in 
fact they have no idea what they're talking about, or even if they do 
know, but have not taken the time to thoroughly explain themselves, 
stand to get themselves flamed.

This is simply factual information I'm providing based on my experience.

Nowhere did I mention the ethics of this.  Besides, discussion of the 
philosophical aspects of the situation will not turn those with sharp 
tongues into peace loving flower children.  Creating new lists will not 
change their perspective of and reactions to the world around them.
