I don't use -CURRENT myself, so I'm forwarding this here in case anybody has some suggestions for Henry. ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: RE: [kde-freebsd] Build error in arts on -CURRENT Date: Monday 22 March 2004 20:24 From: "Henry Koren" <henry_at_koren.com> To: "'Michael Nottebrock'" <michaelnottebrock_at_gmx.net> Michael, This is what I have previously installed in /etc/libmap.conf: # /etc/libmap.conf # # candidate mapping # libc_r.so.5 libpthread.so.1 # Everything that uses 'libc_r' libc_r.so libpthread.so # now uses 'libpthread' ---- I cleaned and tried to recompile arts, but got a different error this time. PHP is hosed, so is xmms, xine, etc. About half the programs fail with core dumps. Is it possible I've somehow corrupted my system by doing portupgrades without the proper libmap.conf? Hopefully you can save me from having to wipe my system and go back to 4-stable. Thanks for your help, -Henry Koren
