I was under the impression the Fx 5200 was newer than that (just) but I'm not 
sure. At least the Fx 5200 Go works and I'd expect similar vintage cards to 
work too.

Yeah, I believe proper TLS support is being worked on, but I think it's 
contingent on a new compiler etc..

That said, a new version that only works with libc_r wouldn't go astray :(
