Hi i have an COMPAQ ProLiant 1600 which fails to install 5.x (Tried 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.2.1, 5.2-CURRENT). I vever get to install screen Problem is that it freezes i cannot Ctl-Alt-Esc or Ctl-Alt-Del on keyboard I tried booting in single user mode/safe mode same result everytime HW Info COMPAQ System BIOS - P08 (11/08/2000) Compaq Smart Array Controller 221 in slot 4 (Taking it out doesnt solve the problem putting in other slots) Compaq System Configuration Utility v2.58 setting OS to different Windows 2000/LINUX etc. tried advanced mode and set ACPI to full and fullmapped. Tried to install Windows 2000 server to see if it was a hardwareproblem (No problems) I also tried to run COMPAQS system erase utility. Any clues anything i can try ?
