tcpdump or dhcpdump broken

Trying use dhcpdump to debug a dhcp server problem,
the output of dhcpdump has garbage data in the displayed
fields.

How can I determine if the problem is in tcpdump or in
dhcpdump (net/dhcpdump) ?
