Try updating again.  Ian Iedowse has fixed things that were a bit broken
since Nov 9.  Your USB devices should work again after the backout of
the Nov 9 changes.

If you have the time to patch your kernel and test a new diff, you can
also try running a GENERIC kernel from Nov 12 with this patch:
