The verbose boot of BETA7 succeeded this time for whatever reason. The kernel
hasn't changed since the last message I posted. Perhaps the behaviour changes
with -v.

The BETA6 still has phk's fdc debug code which should explain the few extra
lines in the diff between the two boots.
