5.3-BETA1: Still some issues with sk(4)

I'm still lagging way behind on BETA1, but I ran into yet another watchdog
timeout and complete hang of sk0 even though the developer community think
they got this issue licked back in 6.0-CURRENT.  I updated pr 69879 with
the latest and (not so) greatest info.
