I just cvsup'd from the BETA7 distribution to the latest source, and now when I boot, I get the following two lines (which I had been getting before) only now, my system hangs at this point during the boot. Before, I would get these two lines, followed by a line regarding the ATA reset time. I am using an Intel dual Xeon server class motherboard, the SE7501HG2. ata1-slave: FAILURE - ATAPI_IDENTIFY timed out ata1-slave: FAILURE - ATAPI_IDENTIFY timed out I tried the patch that Soren posted yesterday, but it did not help.
