BETA1 and BETA2 SMP experiences

Just FYI,

On a few test-machines which usually hung within seconds of experiencing 
load of 1 or greater, kernel from 30.8. (which titles itself as BETA2) 
has run smoothly so far.

These are dual-cpu machines.
