Don't you just put one of these in your named.conf: options { directory "/var/namedb"; }; As for 'master','slave', etc... you can specify those directories directly also: zone "my-domain.net" { type master; file "master/my-domain.net"; }; would put this in the "master" subdirectory of the directory listed in options. The configuration file can also be stored in /var... just invoke 'named' with the right command line: named [-c conffile] e.g. '/usr/sbin/named -c /var/named/named.conf' Since BIND already handled all of this I'm not sure how this could be xBSD specific? -SteveReceived on Thu Sep 16 2004 - 18:00:46 UTC
