DVD-ROM DMA not working

Hi list,

I hope this is the right place (and time?) to post this.

I have been trying out the latest 5.3BETA since some days now. I found,
that my DVD-ROM is not working correctly. The reason is, that it was
found to be running in DMA33 mode at boot time (this differs from 5.2.1,
where it was detected as PIO4). DMA mode does not seem to work correctly
though. When I manually switch to PIO4 with atacontrol, everything is ok
again. So this is no big deal.

Although, it would be nice to have DMA working with this drive.
Unfortunatly I don't know what information is needed to fix this. I do
know however that it works on other OSs, including NetBSD and Linux.

My drive is recognized in dmesg like this:

acd0: CDRW <TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-R2212/1013> at ata1-master UDMA33

Best regards,
Roman
