OK, thanks.  I commented out all references to d_maj in Mat's code, and
it compiles just fine.

Still no support for my particular soundcard yet, though, unfortunately
(es137x), but Mat does intend to get to work on it Real Soon Now.

It looks like MIDI is really starting to come together, though.  I now
have a loadable kernel module "midi.ko", with support for cmi and
emu10k1 cards.  I've already seen a report from someone on the
multimedia list who actually got this to work with his card
and external MIDI synth.  Hopefully, we can get support for more cards
included soon. :-)

We'll keep the current list informed as to further developments.
