It should work.  owi was created as a fallback to wi when some problems 
were taking a long time to resolve.  But now we believe those problems 
are fixed and owi will soon be removed from the tree.

Try providing details about what doesn't work with wi.  Be sure to 
include chip/card details and the steps to recreate your problem.
