request: libedit sync

Can somone with commit privs, think about re-sync'ing freebsd's libedit 
with NetBSD's copy?
Right now the histedit.h cause hiccups with adding command line editing 
support within sftp
in the openssh 4.0 code.  I know time wise, we're close to a release, 
but if it is possible
it would be nice.
