Beginning to cvsup and compile it. I have just begun to narrow my
search - 2005.10.01.19.42.50 doesn't panic.

Can I do something to increase speed of narrowing? At the moment I
recompile the kernel after each cvsup, this procedure takes 80-140
minutes depending on what else I do with my machine.
