I upgraded my second machine to 6.0-RC1 this afternoon and have lost my raid mirror configured on an SIS 180 Raid controller (as provided on the ASUS P4R800-V motherboard). I've read the release notes and double checked UPDATING and I didn't see any removal of existing support (other than 80386). The array simply isn't even being picked up anymore (no AR0 device). What have I missed? This is true regardless of a GENERIC or custom kernel. The following is a cut-n-paste of the dmesg from my last GENERIC kernel boot: ======================================== FreeBSD 6.0-RC1 #1: Thu Oct 13 16:43:57 EDT 2005 root_at_mercury.kingsquarry.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC ACPI APIC Table: <RS300 AWRDACPI> Timecounter "i8254" frequency 1193182 Hz quality 0 CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (3006.90-MHz 686-class CPU) Origin = "GenuineIntel" Id = 0xf34 Stepping = 4 Features=0xbfebfbff<FPU,VME,DE,PSE,TSC,MSR,PAE,MCE,CX8,APIC,SEP,MTRR,PGE,MCA,C MOV,PAT,PSE36,CLFLUSH,DTS,ACPI,MMX,FXSR,SSE,SSE2,SS,HTT,TM,PBE> Features2=0x441d<SSE3,RSVD2,MON,DS_CPL,CNTX-ID,<b14>> Hyperthreading: 2 logical CPUs real memory = 535756800 (510 MB) avail memory = 514928640 (491 MB) ioapic0: Changing APIC ID to 2 ioapic0 <Version 1.1> irqs 0-23 on motherboard npx0: [FAST] npx0: <math processor> on motherboard npx0: INT 16 interface acpi0: <RS300 AWRDACPI> on motherboard acpi0: Overriding SCI Interrupt from IRQ 9 to IRQ 21 acpi0: Power Button (fixed) pci_link0: <ACPI PCI Link LNKA> irq 0 on acpi0 pci_link1: <ACPI PCI Link LNKB> irq 0 on acpi0 pci_link2: <ACPI PCI Link LNKC> irq 0 on acpi0 pci_link3: <ACPI PCI Link LNKD> irq 0 on acpi0 Timecounter "ACPI-safe" frequency 3579545 Hz quality 1000 acpi_timer0: <32-bit timer at 3.579545MHz> port 0x4008-0x400b on acpi0 cpu0: <ACPI CPU> on acpi0 acpi_throttle0: <ACPI CPU Throttling> on cpu0 acpi_button0: <Power Button> on acpi0 pcib0: <ACPI Host-PCI bridge> port 0xcf8-0xcff on acpi0 pci0: <ACPI PCI bus> on pcib0 pcib1: <ACPI PCI-PCI bridge> at device 1.0 on pci0 pci1: <ACPI PCI bus> on pcib1 pci1: <display, VGA> at device 5.0 (no driver attached) skc0: <Marvell Gigabit Ethernet> port 0xe400-0xe4ff mem 0xe1000000-0xe1003fff ir q 19 at device 13.0 on pci0 skc0: Marvell Yukon Lite Gigabit Ethernet rev.
