Hello, I'm trying to get the built in wireless (broadcom) working on my new laptop with ndisgen, but I get an error during the last step. The laptop is an HP ze2000 (turion64) and I've tried this using the amd64 versions of 5-STABLE and 6-Beta3. The error message is as follows: Press enter to compile the stub module and generate the driver module now: Compiling stub... done. Linking loadable kernel module... /usr/bin/ld: windrv_stub.o: relocation R_X86_64_32S can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC windrv_stub.o: could not read symbols: Bad value linking failed. Exiting. The drivers I've been using are here: ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook/ferrari_4000/driver/winxp64bit/80211g.zip (These match the pciconf information for the card and work in Gentoo with ndiswrapper) pciconf -lv gives: none5_at_pci5:2:0: class=0x028000 card=0x1355103c chip=0x431814e4 rev=0x02 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Broadcom Corporation' class = network Please let me know if you need any more information.
