inappropriate ioctl for usb keyboard

Hi all,

I try to attach an usb keyboard with the command

kbdcontrol -a | -k /dev/ukbd0

and here is what i get:

inappropriate ioctl for device.

now the long story:
sysctl -a | grep ...
