No idea. I think ReiserFS is using only metadata journaling, but I don't
know for sure.

It is you:) gjournal(8) is implemented as shared library for geom(8)
command, just like gconcat(8), gstripe(8), gmirror(8), graid3(8),
geli(8), gnop(8), glabel(8) and gshsec(8).
