Segfault in installer (7.0-Beta4) when loading package index

Hi,

When installing fbsd 7.0beta4 on a vmware instance on a macbook pro
(leopard) I'm getting a setfault when it tries to load the package index
in teh isntaller.  

To reprooduce (every time) I just run sysintall, go to configure ->
packages, select media as ftp passive, ftp.freebsd.org, then it
segfaults while loading the package index.

I can try with a debug build alter today after I have time to get the
entire source tree, until then here is truss output.  gdb just dislpays
a couple thousand ?? messages, no symbols.
