process stuck in ttybg1

hi

I stumbled upon this:

truss -D mc

causes the mc to hang in "ttybg1" state. actually it livelocks
receiving signal 22.

hope someone can fix that :) thats on Jul 6th -current + kernel
from roughly the same date.
