There's a difference between "personal preferences" and this
particular behavior that has nothing to do with "reflecting the
capabilities of the terminal".  Switching display pages every time
full-screen program runs, when the user has not requested it, is
plainly obnoxious, and has *nothing* to do with initializing the
terminal.
