Poor network transfer performance

Hello, I am using FreeBSD 7.0-CURRENT and I csuped my sources yesterday 
and built a GENERIC i386 kernel but with all the WITNESS and debug 
options commented out. The problem I am having is that I get very slow 
transfer rates when transferring data to this machine; so far the 
methods I have used are scp and SMB/CIFS using samba. During this 
transfer I get the following error message on the console: 'vr0 watchdog 
timeout'. My dmesg output is below:
