For the record, after the update to linux-flashplugin7 3 days ago, it is no longer marked unsafe and I have had no problems updating. It now will, by default, build with support for nspluginwrapper. I did the update and ran: nspluginwrapper -i -v /usr/X11R6/lib/linux-mozilla/plugins/nphelix.so \ /usr/local/lib/npapi/linux-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so (I don't like the Acrobat plugin, so I don't install that one.) Note that nspluginwrapper must be run by each user before starting firefox. I have no joy to spread in Flash 9. Happily, most of the sites I use that are Flash-based are still working with Flash 7. -- R. Kevin Oberman, Network Engineer Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) Ernest O.
