Hi Scot In the apache22 ports there is a file called Makefile.modules. In there you have WITH_BERKELEYDB= FreeBSD which uses . if ${WITH_BERKELEYDB} == "FreeBSD" CONFIGURE_ARGS+= --with-dbm=db185 \ --with-berkeley-db=/usr . elif ${WITH_BERKELEYDB} == "db2" I will change it to WITH_BERKELEYDB= db44 which will then use . elif ${WITH_BERKELEYDB} == "db44" LIB_DEPENDS+= db-4.4:${PORTSDIR}/databases/db44 CONFIGURE_ARGS+= --with-dbm=db44 \ --with-berkeley-db=${LOCALBASE}/include:${LOCALBASE}/lib/db44 Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
