I was expecting to see a lot of small transactions, indicating seeking across the file system, but the numbers seem normal enough. Is the drive & ZFS topology "normal" - you don't perhaps have a zpool made of multiple partitions/slices on the same drive? Can you send the output of "zpool status"?
