What is the "street price" of 16 GB disk space > these days? About the same as a couple of Big Macs? Hmm, I would better spend these 16 Gb for the log storage, because in my common setups with 8Gb/16Gb/32Gb memory at FreeBSD production servers, swap is truly redundant. But again, it depends on the situation ;)) But if we're measuring 16 Gb of ATA/SATA disk in dollars, then yes, you're right: it is $10 or about 4 or 5 Big Macs in my nearby McDonalds. I really don't know will it be 4 or 5: I don't like these biggies and prefer cheeseburgers. Now they are selling them at 1.28 Gb per one cheeseburger, so this is a good deal ;)) -- EygeneReceived on Sun Feb 17 2008 - 17:54:06 UTC
