strange message from ciss: ciss0: SENDING NOP MESSAGE FAILED

I get the following on the console every few seconds after upgrading a hp
dl380g3 today to -current.  My old kernel was from Aug 9th where I didn't
see this behavior.   I'm not sure if that kernel contained 1.16 of
cissreg.h.
