Presumably you are referring to dedup - this is _very_ new and is not ready for production use. There have been several problems discussed in the zfs-discuss lists (and the latest OpenSolaris release was re- rolled to correct one of them). The latest problem I saw was unkillable processes. The version of ZFS in FreeBSD will be moved forward but it will never reach the bleeding edge of OpenSolaris. -- Peter Jeremy
