USB2 problems when boot from usb mass storage

When I boot from USB hdd with USB2 kernel - system cannot mount root 
partition - mass storage device detect after attempt mount /
When I boot with old-USB kernel (GENERIC) - all OK - mount / correct - 
device detect before mount attempt...
