I haven't tested this, but try the following:

1. boot the 8.0BETA install/fixit media
2. goto the fixit environment
3. Create /boot/zfs directory
4. load the kernel modules opensolaris.ko and zfs.ko
5. import the pool, and mount the root filesystem on /mnt
6. Copy /boot/zfs/zpool.cache to /mnt/boot/zfs
7. Reboot the system
