I was trying to install the amd64 8.0 image for 200905 and during boot my laptop, a Thinkpad X60 (T7200 Core Duo) would simply freeze up. I was able to install by burning a CDROM image of the first iso. The CDROM installed fine and that system is now up and running. Best, GeorgeReceived on Wed May 13 2009 - 20:01:26 UTC
