Here are the dmesg -v's from booting the two nodes.  The cable is not
between them during boot; it's kind of difficult to get to the consoles
and boot the nodes at the same time given my HW setup..  The output from
is in the dconschat output.  The debugging goes from the musicbox
machine to ylum.  It is ylum that experiences the deadlock.
