Samba wedged: what does it mean?

Hi there,

I've been providing a light-use samba server on my
freebsd-current box, mostly for secondary storage my wife's
laptop. It's worked mostly-fine for a dozen years. I've never
seen anything like this before, and am not sure where to start
poking it. Here's the output of netstat and ps, for the
suspicious bits. It's been sitting like that for just shy of
twelve hours. Nothing else on the system seems to be broken.
I've stopped samba: only these wedged copies exist. Any way
out, short of a reboot?

This is on:
FreeBSD duncan.reilly.home 9.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 9.0-CURRENT #1: Fri Jul 9 21:05:44 EST 2010 root_at_duncan.reilly.home:/nb/obj/nb/src/sys/DUNCAN amd64

The samba34 server was serving an un-journalled UFS2+SU file
system.
